About Helen
For me, the dog is the client.
Helen Davies grooms every dog at All Weather Pups in Eversley herself. This is how she got here, and why she works the way she does.
A change of direction
Helen spent decades in the corporate world, working in executive education, defence and pharmaceuticals. Then she decided to take the leap and work with dogs instead, and she has loved every day since.
Her own very clumsy dog, Lorry, led the way: first into dog walking, then day care and boarding. And with that came dirty, muddy, scruffy dogs. So Helen went back to college and trained as a groomer, so she could offer grooming to the clients she already had.
Her whole world is dogs. You'll find her, wherever she is, stopping strangers so she can say hello to theirs.
The difference
The groom works around the dog, not the other way round.
Want to lie down?
Go ahead. If your dog would rather lie on the table while they're dried, Helen dries them lying down.
Want to look out the window?
Fine too. Helen works around what helps each dog feel comfortable and safe.
No clock to beat.
A busy high street salon has to keep dogs moving. Helen books enough time that nobody is rushed.
"I want the dogs to want to see me, be excited and want to come for their groom. That makes me so happy."

Come and meet Helen.
